25 / Power tools & accessories
Tools bought by the pallet, not off a retail shelf
Cordless drills, impact drivers, grinders, saws, batteries and accessories sourced direct. This is the one line on this site where you can build a brand rather than resell someone else's — the factories will put your name on the tool, the battery and the box. It is also the line where two identical-looking tools are furthest apart.

What we source in this line
Capacities below are the common bands. Tell us whether you are selling trade or DIY and roughly what volumes, and we'll put a range together.
| Equipment | Typical range | Worth specifying |
|---|---|---|
| Cordless drill drivers | 12 V – 21 V platforms | Cell type in the battery, chuck quality, torque settings |
| Impact drivers & wrenches | 1/4in hex – 1in drive | Torque rating honestly stated, anvil quality |
| Rotary hammers & demolition | SDS-plus & SDS-max | Joules of impact energy, vibration control |
| Angle grinders | 115 – 230 mm | Motor watts, gear housing material, guard design |
| Circular saws & jigsaws | 165 – 235 mm blade | Base plate rigidity, depth and bevel adjustment |
| Mitre & table saws | 210 – 305 mm | Fence accuracy, sliding capacity, dust port |
| Sanders & polishers | Orbital, belt & rotary | Pad size, variable speed, dust extraction |
| Planers & routers | 82 mm, 1/4in – 1/2in | Collet sizes, depth adjustment |
| Bench grinders & drill presses | 150 – 250 mm | Motor rating, table adjustment |
| Battery packs & chargers | 2.0 – 9.0 Ah | Cell manufacturer and grade, charger 230V 50Hz |
| Tool kits & combo sets | 2 – 8 piece | Case quality, which batteries included |
| Accessories | Bits, blades, discs, hole saws | Where the repeat revenue is — margin and volume |
| Hand tools & storage | Spanners, sockets, tool boxes | Steel grade, finish, warranty position |
| Display & retail packaging | Blister, case & shelf | Retail readiness, barcoding, own branding |

What actually decides whether it works
Price is the easy part, and on this line one point matters more than everything else put together.
You are buying the platform, not the badge
The factories behind most cordless tools build to several quality levels, and the top of that range is genuinely comparable to the trade brands you already know — often the same component suppliers. What you cannot buy through this channel is those trade names themselves; they are protected, and anything offered as such is counterfeit and gets seized. What you can buy is the same class of tool under the factory's own name, or unbranded and carrying yours.
This is the one line where you can build a brand
Most equipment we handle is bought once. Tools are bought repeatedly and by name, which is why factories here will put your branding on the tool, the battery and the packaging at reasonable minimum quantities. Understand what it means before you do it: once your name is on the tool, the warranty, the spares and the compliance sit with you rather than with the factory. That is a real business rather than a resale, and it wants deciding before the first order, not after.
The battery platform is the business, not the tool
Once a customer owns three batteries they buy their next tool from whoever fits them. Pick one platform and stay on it, and check what is actually inside the pack — cell manufacturer and grade decide runtime and lifespan, and they are invisible from the outside. Batteries are also where the repeat revenue is.
Two tools that look identical are not the same tool
The difference between a trade tool and a DIY tool is bearings, brush life, gear material and duty cycle — none of which you can see. Decide which market you are selling to and buy accordingly, because a DIY tool sold to a contractor comes back, and a trade tool priced for DIY does not sell.
Mains and battery goods are regulated here
Power tools, chargers and battery packs are electrical goods, and lithium batteries carry shipping requirements of their own on top of that. We confirm what applies to the specific product with our clearing agent before quoting, because on a container of tools the approvals question affects the whole shipment.
You're trading the dealer network for the price
That's the honest trade — and on tools your customer feels it, not you. There is no national warranty network behind an own-brand tool. Decide now how you will handle returns and spares, and hold stock of the parts that fail: chucks, carbon brushes, switches and batteries.
Retailers and resellers ask these
Can I get tools that stand up next to the big trade brands?
Yes, at the top of the range — several of these factories build to that standard and use the same component suppliers. Below that the market drops off quickly, so the specification matters more here than in most lines. What nobody can supply you factory-direct is the protected trade names themselves; offered one, you are being offered a counterfeit, and those are seized at the border.
Can I put my own brand on them?
Usually yes, and this is the most interesting thing about this line. Suppliers will brand the tool, the battery and the packaging, often at reasonable minimum quantities. If you intend to sell tools as a real line rather than a sideline, decide this before the first order.
Will the chargers work here?
They will if specified correctly — we are 230 V 50 Hz and the plug and voltage must be right for South Africa. We confirm this on every order, because a container of chargers with the wrong plug is a container you cannot sell.
How do I handle warranty on an own-brand tool?
That sits with you, which is the honest answer and the thing to plan for. Hold stock of the parts that actually fail — chucks, carbon brushes, switches and batteries — and set a returns policy you can afford. We ask suppliers for spares pricing with the original order.
